Introduction Sambhunath Pagoda was completed in 1144 and stands 61 meters tall, making it the highest stupa among all those in Bagan. It is often referred to as the “Observation Pagoda.” The exterior of the pagoda features a grayish-white facade and is divided into five levels: a high platform, an altar terrace, a cubic base, the main stupa chamber, and the spire. Internally, however, it is divided into just two levels — the lower level houses a scripture hall, while the upper level contains a square main hall that enshrines a large Buddha statue, showcasing a unique architectural style.
