Juye County Painting and Calligraphy Academy

The Juye County Painting and Calligraphy Academy serves as the window of the county’s painting and calligraphy industry. Its first and second floors house seven exhibition halls, while the third floor contains a training center and creation studios. The first floor includes a VIP reception room and the Linzhou Lecture Hall, which can accommodate visiting groups of around 200 people. The training center can train 500 people per session, with an annual capacity of 2,000. The Juye County Artists Association, Juye County Calligraphers Association, Juye County Farmers’ Painting and Calligraphy Research Association, and Juye County Meticulous Brushwork Painting Society all have offices here to guide artists in their studies and creations. There is also a library reading room with 20 seats to support artists' learning and research. The training base features a large exhibition hall covering 5,000 square meters, capable of displaying over 1,000 works and simultaneously hosting seven different themed exhibitions. It can accommodate large and medium-sized national exhibitions and painting and calligraphy festivals. The electronic exhibition hall further extends the exhibition capabilities. The Linzhou Lecture Hall is equipped with an independent sound system and electronic teaching facilities, suitable for lectures and forum events.

Currently, the county has four specialized towns, over 50 specialized villages, and nearly 400 specialized households. There are more than 6,000 people engaged in the creation, sales, and mounting of paintings and calligraphy. Last year, over 600,000 paintings were created, generating an output value of 150 million yuan. The artworks are exported to 30 countries and regions including the United States, France, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Domestically, there are over 70 sales outlets, and friendly cooperative relationships have been established with more than 500 galleries and academies across the country, further expanding the painting and calligraphy market. To further strengthen the county’s painting and calligraphy industry, the academy has planned a new building with a construction area of 8,000 square meters in Dayeze Park. The main structure has been completed, and interior decoration is underway.
