  Gawdawpalin Temple stands two stories tall, at a height of 180 feet, with a length of 65 meters and a width of 52 meters. It consists of three lower terraces and four upper terraces, with colonnades on all four corners. As the second tallest temple in Myanmar, it can be admired from afar for its majestic beauty. The temple has suffered significant damage during the major earthquake of 1975 and was subsequently reconstructed in 1976. It is one of the largest religious sites in Bagan and also ranks among the most spectacular Buddhist temples. A popular destination for Buddhist devotees, many travelers visit this historic and culturally rich temple to witness its grandeur.
