     The former residence of Xu Shizhang is located at No. 126 Munan Road, Heping District. It is a three-story modern-style building constructed with brick and concrete, which was reduced to two stories after an earthquake. The building houses a study, ballroom, living room, dining room, and more. Originally, there was a garden-style courtyard surrounding the building, featuring rockeries, small pavilions, and transparent floral-patterned walls, making it an elegant high-end private residence. The residence is now used as an office building for Tianhe Hospital and has been listed as an immovable cultural relic in Tianjin that has not yet been officially designated as a protected cultural heritage site.

  Xu Shizhang (1889~1954)     Xu Shizhang (1889–1954)    A renowned cultural relics connoisseur from Tianjin and the cousin of Xu Shichang, President of the Republic of China. He studied at the University of Liège in Belgium in his early years, earning a bachelor's degree in economics and management. After returning to China in 1912, he successively served as an official under the Road Administration Department of the Ministry of Communications, Deputy Director of the Beijing-Hankou Railway Bureau, and Director of the Tianjin-Pukou Railway Bureau. Starting in 1920, he held positions such as Vice Minister of the Ministry of Communications, National Railway Director, Vice President of the Bank of Communications, Director of the China International Transport Bureau, and Director of the Currency Bureau. After Xu Shichang stepped down in 1922, Xu Shizhang settled in Tianjin and took on honorary roles such as Honorary Director of the Railway Institute, Board Member of Tianjin Yaohua High School, and Chairman of the Industrial and Commercial College. ...
