The Ushuaia Museum (Presion and Maritime Museum), also known as the “End of the World Museum” (The End of the World Museum), was converted from an abandoned prison. The two-story building itself is a historical relic. The museum is divided into two exhibition sections: the Prison and the Maritime. The Prison section retains the original appearance and facilities of the former jail, displaying early photos of Ushuaia and information about some notable prisoners.

A large sign in front of the Ushuaia Museum reads, “This is the end of the world, and everything begins here,” which aptly captures the atmosphere of this southernmost city on Earth.
