At Chaco National Park, visitors can observe unique local flora such as the red quebracho, algarrobo, quebracho blanco, coronillo, urunday, and lapacho—valuable tree species that are native to the region. The park is not only a haven for plants but also a thriving home for wildlife. A diverse array of animals inhabits the park, including howler monkeys (carayá), yacaré caimans, brown brocket deer (guazunchos), Paraguayan magpies (Urracas paraguayas), black howler monkeys, purple magpies (urracas moradas), the greater rhea (ipacaá), and the white-barred piculet. These species are spread across tropical scrublands, grasslands, lakes, and estuaries, living together in harmony.
