Nine Bend Stream

Nine Bend Stream is located in the peaks and valleys of the Wuyi Mountains, the main range of which lies in Wuyi Mountain, Fujian Province. The mountains are not high but possess the grandeur of towering peaks, and the water is not deep yet encompasses the essence of aquatic scenery. The perfect harmony between mountain and water is the most distinctive feature of the Nine Bend Stream tour route. The winding Nine Bend Stream meanders through a series of sheer cliffs and peaks, like a jade ribbon stringing together pearls, connecting 36 peaks and 99 rocks into one, forming a unique natural landscape of “one stream running through the mountains, with peaks lining both banks like immortal abodes.” The Nine Bend Stream stretches approximately 9.5 kilometers. With the water flowing around the mountains and the mountains standing beside the water, the viewing angle is just right, and the stream alternates with pools. Being there feels like strolling along a fantastical gallery of landscapes. Boarding an old-fashioned bamboo raft and drifting through the mountain-and-water scenery, you can look up to see the mountain views, gaze down to admire the water, listen to the sound of the stream, and touch the clear waves with your hands. Travelers can experience the serene feeling of the raft floating on the water while they themselves seem to be wandering within a painting.
