Thanks to the conscientious protection by local communities, Mount Gadoi Gyawo has remained free from human destruction and pollution, preserving its pristine ecological state. The valleys and mid-slopes of the mountain are covered with dense, lush shrubbery, serving as habitats for rare animals such as white-lipped deer, red deer, Tibetan antelope, blue sheep, snow leopards, lynxes, black-necked cranes, snowcocks, and musk deer. The mountain also nurtures precious alpine plants including snow lotus, snow tea, snowdrop stonecrop, rhodiola, fritillaria, and caterpillar fungus. Each year, numerous pilgrims from all over the Tibetan region flock here to circumambulate the mountain and engage in worship.
