Zhonghua Fushou Mountain Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. As early as 1221 AD, Qiu Chuji, the founder of the Longmen Sect of Taoism, made a special trip to Fushou Mountain, where he lectured on Taoism and practiced martial arts. As a result, during the Qing Dynasty, it became the largest center for Taoist activities in Xinjiang.
This area is a natural gene bank for wild fruit plants in the world and the only place in Asia where wild almonds (Prunus divaricata) grow. It has been designated by the state as the "Hometown of China's Wild Almonds." The scenic area is home to about 60 varieties of wild fruits, mainly including wild apples, wild almonds, wild apricots, wild hawthorns, and wild walnuts.
The scenic area boasts charming scenery in all four seasons. Walking along the mountain-looping plank walkways offers a panoramic view of the entire Daxigou area.
