Covering an area of over 500 acres, Huangshan Tiger Forest Park is a comprehensive tourist destination themed around tiger viewing and science education, supplemented by botanical gardens, leisure vacations, dining and accommodation, and physical fitness activities. In addition to tiger viewing, the park also offers animal training performances, a tiger-viewing restaurant, a shopping center, and a teahouse. The park is home to 50 wild Siberian tigers, making it the largest Siberian tiger breeding base in East China. It plays a significant role in enriching the content and enhancing the quality of Huangshan’s tourism offerings. The establishment of Huangshan Tiger Forest Park fills a gap in the region—both in Anhui Province and across East China—for large-scale eco-parks featuring free-range tigers. In December 2010, it was recognized by the Provincial Association for Science and Technology as an “Anhui Provincial Science Education Base.” In 2013, it was rated as a National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction.
