Jinggangshan Leader Peak
The Leader Peak Scenic Area is situated in Jinggangshan, the cradle of the revolution and a famous tourist destination, covering nearly 10,000 acres. It is a large-scale tourist attraction that combines red culture, natural scenery, and ethnic culture. It was grandly opened to domestic and international tourists on April 28, 2005. The scenic area is located in Dajing, Jinggangshan, just seven kilometers from Ciping and only a 10-minute drive away. It is close to other famous scenic spots such as Huangyangjie, Longtan, Shuikou, and the former residence of Mao Zedong in Dajing, offering very convenient transportation and a prominent tourism location advantage. It is an ideal destination for travel and leisure. The scenic area boasts extremely rich resources, which can be broadly divided into five categories: red culture, natural scenery, ethnic culture, accommodation, and dining.

Leader Peak features the largest portrait of leaders (Zhu and Mao) in China. Set against the backdrop of the Jinggangshan Meeting, it has become a symbol of Jinggangshan. The four sets of group sculptures in the square provide a detailed explanation of why Jinggangshan is called the "Number One Mountain Under Heaven." From the Leader Peak Square, you can overlook the main peak of Jinggangshan—Wuzhi Peak—the very mountain depicted on the fourth series of the 100-yuan Chinese banknote.
