The Jingyang River Bridge is situated in Jianshi County, Enshi Prefecture, spanning the main course of the Qingjiang River and is a stunning feature of the Yeshan River Tourist Area. Construction started on March 1, 2005, and the bridge was completed and opened to traffic in December 2007. With a total length of 504 meters, the main structure is a concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge, making it the largest through-type arch bridge on a regular road in Hubei Province. Prior to this, people from the southern bank of the Qingjiang River had to rely on ferries to cross to the northern bank. In 1990, the Jingyang Suspension Bridge was built, becoming the essential route for over 100,000 residents and the transportation of goods on the southern bank. After the reservoir area of Shuibuya was filled with water, considering navigation safety, the local government demolished the suspension bridge. The Jingyang River Bridge then became the only connection between the north and south banks of Jingyanghe Town.
