Dornier Museum
The Dornier Museum is situated within a 25,000-square-meter natural landscape park near Friedrichshafen Airport, presenting over a century of aerospace history to the public. The museum building itself is also a masterpiece of architectural art. This museum successfully recreates the history of human aviation and aerospace through cutting-edge architectural design, interpreting the theme of "aerospace" in an ingenious way through its structure.

Within a 3,000-square-meter exhibition area, 400 exhibits illustrate the journey of Dornier from an aircraft manufacturing plant to a diversified international technology corporation. The museum vividly displays the history of human aviation and space exploration against a historical backdrop. The floor plan follows the structure of an aircraft hangar, mimicking a taxiway at Friedrichshafen Airport, forming a framework wall that houses the museum’s collection. This architectural design meets two distinct exhibition needs: on one hand, the hangar-like shape provides ample space for the display of numerous prototype exhibits. On the other hand, the “museum box” seemingly suspended above the hall serves as the core functional space. From here, visitors can get an up-close look at the remarkable contributions Dornier has made to aerospace over the past century.
