Jinggangshan Meeting Monument
The Jinggangshan Meeting Monument stands at the western end of Huiji Bridge in Longshi. On the front of the monument, Comrade Ye Jianying inscribed eight large characters reading “Jinggangshan Meeting Monument.” The front of the base bears an inscription, while the back features Mao Zedong’s calligraphy of “A single spark can start a prairie fire.” The two sides of the monument are adorned with large red marble military flags, representing the forces of the Autumn Harvest Uprising in the Hunan-Jiangxi border region and the Nanchang Uprising respectively.
