Bairro Sul Metropolitan Park

　　    Bairro Sul Metropolitan Park features around 500 hectares of well-preserved Atlantic Forest. Located within an urban area, it becomes very lively on weekends, attracting an average of 5,000 visitors. The park is home to about 205 species of mammals, reptiles, birds, fish, and amphibians, making it an expansive recreational space in Salvador and an ideal venue for various musical performances. One of the park’s highlights is the Mirror Lake, surrounded by an 18-kilometer-long cycling path. There is also an open-air museum displaying 2,000 sculptures. In addition, the park offers food stalls, restaurants, sports courts, playgrounds, as well as bike and pedal boat rentals.
