Xishan Fengchi Temple

Xishan Fengchi Temple, a municipal-level cultural heritage site, is located in Fengchi Group, Xishan Village, Xishan Township, Xifeng County, Guizhou Province. Originally built during the Chongzhen era of the Ming Dynasty (1628–1644), it underwent two renovations under the direction of Yu Song and Qu Tan. In the 10th year of the Yongzheng reign (1732), Monk Hongliang restored the temple. It was completely destroyed during the Xianfeng and Tongzhi wartime conflicts. The current structures were rebuilt by Monk Fahua during the Guangxu era (1875–1908). The temple site is set back 45.2 meters from the foundation on the east side (including the ginkgo tree), and 30 meters on the south, west, and north sides, all of which are part of the state-owned forest farm. (The northern area includes a southern yew tree.) The complex includes a lower hall, side wings, and a main hall. Originally, there was another hall situated in front of the current main hall, but it has since been destroyed. The buildings feature a post-and-lintel wooden structure with flush-gable roofs covered in blue tiles.
