The congress passed three major resolutions, reorganized the Guangxi Special Committee, and elected 15 committee members. Zhu Xiangang was appointed as the secretary, and Dong Quanhan as the alternate secretary. This meeting took place during a historical turning point following the failure of the Great Revolution. Despite suppression by the reactionary Kuomintang, party organizations across Guangxi had endured relentless and heroic struggles, leading to their restoration and gradual development. It was the first important provincial-level conference held in Guangxi since the establishment of the Party there in 1925, and played a significant and positive role in further advancing the revolutionary movement among Guangxi’s workers and peasants, promoting the Guangxi Soviet Movement, organizing labor-peasant associations and red trade unions, and igniting revolutionary struggles. The site currently houses an exhibition titled “Exhibition on the First Congress of the Communist Party of Guangxi.” The exhibition integrates historical artifacts, photographs, and documents, providing an informative and visually engaging experience. It educates visitors about the history of the Communist Party in Guangxi, inspires them with the pioneering spirit of the revolutionary predecessors, delivers a powerful emotional impact, and serves as an important classroom for learning revolutionary traditions, cultivating moral integrity, and fostering revolutionary ideals. The site retains architectural features reminiscent of late Qing and early Republican-era buildings in southern China.
