Wellington Cable Car Museum
The Wellington Cable Car Museum is built on the site of the original cable car winding house and showcases the history of New Zealand's cable cars from 1902 to the present. Riding the 1902 red cable car has also become an activity for visitors during their museum tour.

At the entrance of the museum, there are original machines that still function today. Inside, various cable cars and models are displayed, giving visitors a clear understanding of the structure, working principles, and history of the cable cars. The most interesting part is that visitors can ride the 1902 red cable car to explore Wellington. Volunteers spent six years restoring this cable car. Typically, visitors take this red cable car from the base of Victoria Peak up the hill, accompanied by the sweet creaking sound as the car climbs the cliffs, passes by the Wellington Botanic Garden, and finally arrives at the Wellington Cable Car Museum.

The Wellington Cable Car Museum is open from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM every day of the year except Christmas.
