  Longshui Confucius Temple

Located in Longshui Village, Mouluo Town, Lichuan City. Originally built in the early Ming Dynasty, it was renovated during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and rebuilt in the seventh year of the Tongzhi reign (1868). Facing west and covering an area of about 1,000 square meters, the temple features a quadrangle layout with a front hall, main hall, and side rooms. The main hall is 13.7 meters wide and 8.7 meters deep, constructed with a wood, stone, and brick structure. Its foundation is entirely built from blue sandstone strips, topped with a single-eave hip-and-gable gray tile roof. The central bay uses a post-and-lintel frame, while the side bays employ a through-tenon frame. This building is one of the better-preserved Confucius Temples in the Tujia ethnic region of western Hubei and reflects the achievements of multicultural architectural art in ethnic minority areas in terms of design and craftsmanship. The Longshui Confucius Temple is a provincial-level key cultural relics protection unit.
