Shangxin Garden

　　Shangxin Garden is situated on the southern side of the boundary between Taipei and Yilan counties along the Beiyi Highway, covering an area of about 16 hectares. It is designed based on the mountain’s topography and features an obstacle course made of logs and ropes, a barbecue area, an observation deck, a hiking and flower-viewing zone, as well as a camping area.

　　The garden has a camping and barbecue zone that can accommodate four to five hundred campers. Barbecue grills are provided around the site for visitors’ use. In front of the camping area, there are five wooden observation decks connected by wooden bridges, offering views of Guishan Island and the vast farmlands of the Lanyang Plain. On clear days, you can also see the majestic mountains of northern and eastern Taiwan, as well as sunrises over the Pacific Ocean. At night, the beautiful Lanyang night scenery is visible.
