Seven Star Lake Scenic Area is located to the east of Xixiang County, 39 kilometers from the county town, adjacent to National Highway 316. The waterway stretches over 70 kilometers, covering a water surface area of 25 square kilometers, and connects directly to Shiquan. It is the largest artificial lake in Hanzhong and is known as the “Little Golden Three Gorges.” The lake’s clear waters mirror like a bright looking glass, while the green mountains on both banks resemble painted screens. Boating on the lake, you’ll see drifting clouds, layered peaks in lush green, white cranes soaring, mandarin ducks playing in the water, and a shore blooming with colorful flowers. It combines the beauty of lake and mountain scenery with both rugged grandeur and delicate charm, creating a serene, picturesque, and deeply memorable atmosphere—offering the thrill of “sailing down to Yangzhou in a single sail.” The ancient town of Hanwang stands proudly by the river, the historic Lychee Road remains rugged and scenic, and fishermen sing at dusk under the setting sun. A dedicated tourist highway, floating docks, luxury cruise ships, high-speed speedboats, and agritainment tourism projects have been developed, with an annual reception capacity of over 400,000 visitors. Viewing the ancient town of Hanwang, cruising through the Han River Three Gorges, and exploring mystical caves and fairyland scenery make it a top destination for sightseeing, boating, fishing, leisure, religious trips, and eco-tourism—giving visitors the feeling that “after seeing the Five Great Mountains, no other mountains compare, and after seeing the Han River, no other waters do.”
