Jiangbulake Scenic Area
Jiangbulake is situated in the low mountainous zone 58 kilometers southeast of Qitai County. It is a large scenic area currently under development, including the Kuangou Scenic Area and Yangwatian. Its scale is second only to Tianchi (Heavenly Lake). The main area consists of seven pools that form a lake cluster — three at lower elevations and the rest nestled on lush green slopes, which from a distance resemble the Big Dipper. Not far to the west lies the highland grassland of Jiangbulake, where water and grass thrive, wildflowers blanket the fields, and the landscape is lush and vibrant. Nearby is the Sa’ertai Canyon, inside which there is a cave that emits a humming sound of air currents — strangely, no wind can be felt. Adding to the mystique are the small wooden cabins scattered across the grass nearby.
