The development plan for the Yehe Dongcheng ruins proposes dividing Longshou Mountain Park into two sections for improvement. One part involves developing and reconstructing Yehe Dongcheng to recreate the ancient city’s appearance. The other part focuses on renovating and upgrading the infrastructure, supporting facilities, and service amenities throughout Longshou Mountain Park to enhance its overall quality.

Preliminary planning ideas for the development and reconstruction of Yehe Dongcheng: Restore the west gate of Longshou Mountain Park as the main entrance to Yehe Dongcheng, and construct a 500 to 1,000-meter-long section of antique-style walls and watchtowers. Historical murals will be installed along the walls, depicting the rise and fall of Yehe Dongcheng in a comic-strip style. A Yehe Dongcheng themed garden will be built near the park’s west gate, featuring a scaled-down model of the entire ancient city to showcase its full layout.

Initial ideas for renovating and improving the various attractions within Longshou Mountain Park: First, continue enhancing the children’s playground and other site facilities and functions to raise overall standards. Second, restore existing structures such as towers, pavilions, steles, and gates from different historical periods to revive their original appearances. Third, a proposed cable car descending from the southern side of Longshou Mountain Park is planned to integrate organically with the Dongliao River Water Park, creating a scenic landscape that connects mountains and water.
