Rhinoceros Pool Gorge

Rhinoceros Pool Gorge
In front of the Huangguoshu Waterfall lies a deep box-shaped karst canyon, within which a series of cascading pools are lined up in succession, including Rhinoceros Pool, Third Shoal, Horseshoe Pool, and Gushing Water Pool, among others. Each of these pools has its own distinctive features. Rhinoceros Pool, in particular, stands out with its vivid resemblance to a rhinoceros, making it an outstanding example of karst waterfall geological formations. When water covers its surface, the view is extraordinarily beautiful. On both sides of the gorge, steep cliffs are covered in lush greenery, while various water-loving plants thrive with luxuriant foliage. A multitude of wildflowers and grasses bloom competitively. Scattered throughout the area are structures such as the Water-Viewing Pavilion, Waterfall Observation Pavilion, teahouses, a suspension bridge, a cable car, along with patches of bamboo groves. Together with the grand waterfall, they form a breathtaking, three-dimensional natural landscape painting.
