The park was damaged during the Cultural Revolution but was renovated in 1976. At the entrance stands an antique-style archway with yellow walls and green tiles, inscribed with the characters “Xi Hu” (West Lake) above the gate. On both sides of the gate are flower stands. A hundred-meter-long embankment lies across the lake, connecting to the central island park via an arched bridge. In the center of the park is a main flower bed, featuring a white marble statue of a lady playing a harp among the flowers. To the north of the flower bed is the quaintly styled West Pavilion built by the lakeside. Southwest of the flower bed are the West Lake Restaurant and West Lake Hotel, a group of antique-style buildings interconnected across platforms. A pair of clay-white cranes stand in the lake. It is one of the scenic spots in the Shuidong area.
