Deep-fried Vegetarian Spring Rolls
Deep-fried vegetarian spring rolls are made with bean curd sheets as the wrapper. The filling is prepared with mung bean sprouts, pressed tofu, starch sheets, coriander, and seasoned with sesame paste, fermented bean curd, sesame oil, minced ginger, and other ingredients. The filling is then spread onto the wrapper, rolled up, cut into sections, and the ends are dipped in batter before being deep-fried in oil. These spring rolls are golden in color, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a light and delicious taste, and are a specialty flavor snack of Tianjin.
