Yanqing Grapes
Yanqing Grapes are a product with geographical indication.
Grapes are one of the signature specialties of Yanqing County. The Suzhuang Fruit Tree Science and Technology Eco-Demonstration Park spans over a thousand acres and cultivates five types of fruit—renowned grapes, pears, plums, peaches, and apricots—across 71 varieties, making it a true "garden of a hundred fruits."
Fresh off the vine, they go straight into your mouth, still carrying the earthy scent—so fresh; green food, grown with organic fertilizer, no pesticides used, eat without washing; healthy, breathe in the fresh country air.
Yanqing and Huailai are both located in the Yan-Huai Basin. Before 1958, they belonged to the same county, sharing connected mountains, adjacent land, close people-to-people ties, integrated regions, and a shared cultural heritage. Their history of economic and social-cultural exchanges runs long and deep, making it an important node in the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The Yan-Huai Valley wine region lies at the northwestern gateway of the capital and is the only grape and wine producing area in the world located within a national capital. With over 700 years of grape cultivation history—traced back earliest to the "Biography of Yelü Chucai" in the "History of Yuan"—the joint development of the Yan-Huai Valley wine region is a concrete measure by the two counties to implement the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping and promote the national strategy of coordinated development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. It serves as a key support for realizing integrated industrial development between the two counties, as well as a practical necessity to consciously break free from the mindset of "our own small plot," foster complementary growth and upgrading in the grape and wine industries of both counties.
