　　Wudalianchi Flour is produced in Wudalianchi City, Heilongjiang Province (formerly Dedu County). In 1929, the wheat planting area was 5,100 hectares. After liberation in 1945, the wheat area increased to 10,262 hectares. From 1988 to 1995, the main wheat variety grown in the county, Xinkehan 9, participated in the provincial Harvest Plan competition and won first or second prizes at the provincial level for 11 consecutive years. It also received the Heilongjiang Provincial Agricultural Science and Technology Progress First Prize. In 1996, Wudalianchi City undertook the provincial-level project “Research and Demonstration of High-Yield Comprehensive Technology for Spring Wheat on a Large Scale” (for a period of three years). In 2004, the city was approved by the Ministry of Agriculture as one of the 23 national grain crop seed breeding bases and crop seed quality supervision and testing sub-center project approval units. This effectively adjusted the agricultural planting structure of Wudalianchi City, changed the situation of single cropping, poor product quality, and sluggish market sales, reduced the area of continuous soybean cropping, improved soil fertility, adhered to the principle of sustainable development, achieved cost savings and efficiency gains, stabilized yield while improving quality, established an agricultural ecological zone, and laid a solid foundation for the development of green food.

　　Geographic Scope

　　The Wudalianchi Flour protection area is located in the northern part of Heilongjiang Province, in the southern part of Heihe City, at the transitional zone between the Lesser Khingan Mountains and the Songnen Plain. It borders Xunke to the east, is adjacent to Keshan and Nenjiang to the west, connects to Beian and Kedong to the south, neighbors Sunwu to the north, and faces Nenjiang County across the river (Keluo River) to the northwest. It includes Longzhen, Hepingzhen, Jianshexiang, Taipingxiang, Shuangquanzhen, Tuánjiéxiāng, Cháoyángxiāng, Xīng'ānxiāng, Liánhuāshānxiāng, Xīnglóngxiāng, Xīnfāzhèn, and Wudalianchizhen (Wudalianchi Scenic Area) within Wudalianchi City. The protected area spans 618,700 hectares, with a production area of 33,333 hectares and a yield of 90,000 tons. The geographical coordinates range from 127°37′ to 125°42′ east longitude, and from 48°16′ to 49°12′ north latitude. It stretches 142 kilometers from east to west and 104 kilometers from north to south.
