Grilled Dogfish
Dogfish has a very high natural yield in its production area. Its flesh is tender and white, and aside from a slight grassy or earthy taste, it is no less delicious than carp, crucian carp, or sockeye salmon.
It is one of the cold-water fish specialties of Mohe, especially abundant in summer and autumn. Most locals prepare it by braising or grilling. In summer, there are many grilled food stalls in Mohe’s Arctic Village, and almost every household serves this dish. At just a few yuan per fish, it tastes delicious—interested travelers should give it a try.
