Boli County is located in the eastern part of Heilongjiang Province and is the only county under the jurisdiction of Qitaihe City. It borders Baoqing, Jidong, Linkou, Yilan, and Huanan County. It is one of the country’s commodity grain base counties, a key county for planted forests, a fruit production base county, and one of the top one hundred coal-producing counties.

Boli County Huifeng Deer Industry Co., Ltd. is a joint-stock industrial enterprise integrating sika deer farming and the processing and sales of deer products. The company currently has 230 sika deer and plans to have a year-end deer inventory of 550, aiming to generate an annual output value of 39.5 million yuan, tax revenue of 8.8 million yuan, provide jobs for 176 people, and support thousands of individual deer farmers across the province. This will help establish a large-scale, industrialized production structure led by key enterprises, with bases connected to farmers. In 2003, the company’s deer antler products obtained the right to use the Organic Food label.

Boli County Huifeng Deer Industry Co., Ltd. was established in 2000 and is mainly engaged in sika deer farming and the research and development of related product series. The company currently operates a sika deer farm covering an area of 60,000 square meters, with over 200 deer in stock. Through cooperative farming arrangements, the total deer inventory has now reached 5,000.

The main products include more than ten varieties such as “Taihe” brand deer antler wine, “Xianhe” brand deer blood essence, deer antler oral liquid, deer antler honey slices, and deer antler slices. There are also several product lines awaiting development, including deer antler series, deer penis series, deer tail series, and deer meat series. The developed products are especially popular in domestic regions, Hong Kong and Macau. The Southeast Asian market is the largest. In recent years, the products have won multiple awards for best-selling items at events such as the Hong Kong Food Festival, Beijing Agricultural Expo, Harbin Trade Fair, and Qiqihar Green Expo. The company is recognized as a leading enterprise in Qitaihe City, a well-known enterprise in Heilongjiang Province, and a famous brand product in China’s health supplement industry.

The raw materials for deer products (such as deer antler and deer penis) are all pollution-free green products. With the continuous improvement of living standards, the development prospects for these products are very promising.

In 2013, the “Boli Sika Deer” application submitted by the Boli County Huifeng Deer Farming Cooperative passed expert review and became a protected product under the Agricultural Product Geographical Indication scheme.
