Gaoqiao Pickles
Gaoqiao Pickles is a geographical indication certification trademark.
The Gaoqiao Pickle Factory in Lianshan District is located in the center of Gaoqiao Town, seven kilometers from Jinzhou Port and one kilometer from the exit of the Beijing–Shenyang Expressway. Established in the late Qing Dynasty during the Guangxu era, the factory boasts a history of over a hundred years and has contributed to the fame of Jinzhou pickles. It is the birthplace of preserved vegetable production and was once a prized delicacy offered to the imperial court.
For over a century, the factory has carried on its traditional family recipe for making pickles, refining the process with scientific formulations. It produces and processes more than 100 varieties of sauces, shrimp-flavored vegetables, and pickled products, with an annual processing capacity of 7,000 tons, an output value of 6.5 million yuan, and tax profits nearing one million yuan. It is the largest distribution hub for preserved vegetables in Northeast China. The “Jinggang Brand” seafood pickles and other product lines have won multiple provincial and ministerial-level quality awards as well as silver medals at international expos. In 2007, it was recognized by the China Food Industry Association as a Traditional Chinese Pickled Vegetable Research and Development Production Base. Many of its products have entered both domestic and international markets.
