Changtu Hazelnuts
Changtu hazelnuts are produced in the Taiyang Mountain area in the eastern part of Changtu County, Liaoning Province. The region features unique landforms, distinct four seasons, fertile soil, and abundant natural resources. It is a renowned production hub of high-quality common hazelnuts, both domestically and internationally, and was historically the supplier of hazelnuts to the imperial court during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It has now been officially recognized by the State Administration for Market Regulation as the origin of hazelnuts, and has been named the “Hometown of Hazelnuts in China,” with its hazelnuts hailed as the “Famous Fruit of China.”
