Ruili Mangoes
Ruili mangoes are a specialty of Ruili City in Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province.
There are many varieties of mangoes in Ruili, such as ivory mangoes and green mangoes. Green mangoes can be eaten while still green—sweet, not bitter or astringent, with a tangy flavor. Locals enjoy dipping the flesh in salt and chili. Ivory mangoes are sweet and juicy, large in size with thin skin.
