The cherry (scientific name: Cerasus pseudocerasus) is a general term for certain plants of the genus Prunus, including the subgenus Cerasus, subgenus Prunus cerasus, subgenus Laurocerasus, and others. It is a tree that grows 2–6 meters tall, with grayish-white bark. The twigs are grayish-brown, the young shoots are green, and they are either hairless or sparsely covered with soft hairs. The winter buds are oval-shaped and hairless.
The fruit can be eaten as a fresh fruit. It features bright, crystal-clear, and beautiful colors — red like agate, yellow like creamy jade — and is rich in sugars, proteins, vitamins, as well as various minerals such as calcium, iron, phosphorus, and potassium.
