Ruitian Aged Wine

Ruitian Aged Wine is a specialty of Gao’an City, Yichun, Jiangxi Province. It is a semi-dry type of Huangjiu, known for its sweet and delicious taste upon entry, with the natural and lingering fragrance of glutinous rice.

Ruitian Aged Winery was established in 2003 by Mr. Chen Jiusheng, whose family has six generations of winemaking tradition. In addition to inheriting ancestral brewing methods, the winery also worked with professors from the Food Science Department of Nanjing University to further develop its craft. The brewery is located at the foot of the scenic Longguang Mountain and houses several tens of thousands of square meters of cave cellars for aging wine.

Ruitian-branded aged wine offers a sweet and delicious taste with the natural and long-lasting aroma of glutinous rice. Wines aged over six years carry a relatively strong soy-like flavor, and there are over 10,000 kilograms of base wine aged more than ten years in the storage caves. Our Ruitian Aged Wine belongs to the semi-dry type of Huangjiu. “Semi-dry” means that not all the sugars in the wine have been fermented into alcohol, so some sugar remains. In production, this type of wine uses a lower water content, which is equivalent to adding more rice during formulation, resulting in a total sugar content between 15.0G/L and 40.0G/L. Hence, it is also called “added-rice wine.” It has a mellow, smooth, refreshing taste without any off-flavors.

Moderate consumption of wine can accelerate blood circulation and metabolism, and is also beneficial for weight loss. Huangjiu contains a large amount of sugar, organic acids, amino acids, and various vitamins, giving it high nutritional value. Since Huangjiu is made from glutinous rice through a long process of saccharification and fermentation, the starches and proteins in the raw materials are broken down into small molecules by enzymes, making them easy for the body to digest and absorb. Therefore, Huangjiu is also categorized as a nutritious alcoholic beverage. With a relatively low alcohol content and a taste that appeals to the general public, it is especially effective for women’s beauty care and for the elderly in combating aging, making it suitable for daily consumption. However, moderation is key—for example, for Huangjiu with an alcohol content around 15 degrees, daily consumption should not exceed 8 liang (approximately 400 grams); for those around 17 degrees, daily intake should not exceed 6 liang (approximately 300 grams).
