Since 2000, our banner has listed tourism as one of the six pillar industries at the economic work conference. At the same time, research and investigations were carried out on “herder household tourism” to understand the unique advantages of the local “Herders' Homes.” Following the principles of “pilot first, then promotion; planning first, then development,” we have been actively guiding and fully supporting the development of “herder household tourism” in a planned and step-by-step manner. The Banner Party Committee and government have successively introduced a series of supportive policies for tourism-focused villages, agritainment, and herder household tourism projects. Up to now, the banner has developed a total of 15 “Herders' Homes,” accounting for 35.7% of the league’s total. In 2006, tourism revenue reached over 3 million yuan, with an average per-household net income of 120,000 yuan from tourism. In the same year, the banner was awarded the “Herders' Home Development and Construction Award” by the league Party Committee and government. Herder household tourism has become a new highlight and business model for tourism in Taipusiqi Banner, with its customer base spanning major cities across the country, making it a key driving force in the banner's tourism industry.
