Medicine Buddha Cave

Medicine Buddha Cave is located within Heishatu Gacha in Gongbolage Sumu, Taibus Banner. It is a natural stone cave. Legend has it that a Buddha statue was accidentally found in the cave and was enshrined by the local people. At that time, due to a lack of medical resources, whenever herders suffered from illness or misfortune, they would come to the cave to pray to the statue for safety and health. In 2001, Heishatu Gacha raised funds to develop the cave, turning it into the present-day Medicine Buddha Cave. The tradition of herders praying for health continues to this day.
