Bayanhangaile Herders' Home

Located in Heishatu Gacha, Gongbolagai Sumu, it was established in 1999 and is the largest herder tourism site in our banner. It is 30 kilometers from Baochang Town and 6 kilometers from the 289 milestone of National Highway 207. The site covers an area of 180 mu, and by 2004, a total investment of 350,000 yuan had been made. There are currently 11 yurts, including a luxurious multi-functional restaurant and a uniquely styled khan’s yurt shaped like a chariot. The facilities include a kitchen and public sanitation amenities, with an accommodation capacity of up to 300 people. The site offers horses, camels, wooden carts (leleche), and ethnic costumes for visitors’ entertainment and photography. In addition to providing herder folk tours, ethnic cuisine, and lodging services, it also features activities such as horse riding, camel riding across the grassland, horse racing, horse taming, lassoing performances, leleche races, archery, wrestling, Nadam Fair celebrations, ovoo worship ceremonies, ethnic song and dance performances, and grassland bonfire parties.

The site is adjacent to the ruins of Malaigai Temple, the Medicine Buddha Cave, Baiyinchagan Lake, and a vast grassland reserve, offering boundless and breathtaking grassland scenery — making it an ideal destination for travel and vacation.

Baochang Town: Located in the central part of Taibus Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Baochang Town is the political, economic, and cultural center of the entire banner. It has a total land area of 654 square kilometers, with an urban area of 7.2 square kilometers. The town administers 40 administrative villages, 124 natural villages, 8 community neighborhood committees, and has a total population of 81,168.
