Constructed in 1909 (the first year of the Xuantong reign in the Qing Dynasty), the bridge has a total length of 552.15 meters, a width of 4 meters, and a height of 22.16 meters. Each side of the bridge deck is equipped with a 1-meter-wide sidewalk. The bridge has a total of 20 spans; the first span and the 12th to 20th spans consist of 19.08-meter-long upper-bearing riveted steel plate girders, while the 2nd to 11th spans are made up of 33.12-meter-long lower-bearing riveted truss girders.
