Nuluerhu Mountain Nature Reserve is located in Gushanzi Township, Chaoyang County, and is a municipal-level scenic area that has applied for national nature reserve status.

Nuluerhu Mountain Nature Reserve is known for its streams, forests, flowers, plants, and rock formations. It covers an area of 2,000 hectares, with the valley stretching over ten li in length. The streams in the valley shimmer like light and silk, winding through peaks and ridges, twisting like the Big Dipper and coiling like a long serpent, appearing and disappearing from view. At the bottom of the valley, massive rocks are piled up—some tall, some short, some standing, some lying, some crouching, some sitting, some crawling, some running, some with their backs turned, some embracing—each with its own unique form. The surrounding hills are a picturesque sight, with thousands of valleys competing in beauty, forming a majestic and lush expanse. The scenery changes with the seasons throughout the year. In spring, the breeze is mild and the sun is bright, plants sprout fresh greenery, and red apricot blossoms burst with the vitality of spring. In summer, clouds steam and rosy clouds unfold, wildflowers emit a delicate fragrance, and fine trees flourish, casting dense shade. In autumn, the sky is high and the clouds are light, the forested mountains are painted in layers of color, and “ten thousand trees are ablaze with crimson under the frosty sky.” In winter, the land is covered in snow, glistening like silver and jade, while green pines stand tall, reaching into the clouds. Throughout the four seasons, birds sing loudly, flocks of pheasants and rabbits roam, and deer and roe deer dart about, creating a lively atmosphere. Deep within the valley, there are three natural waterfalls, each with its own distinctive charm, truly breathtaking.

Gushanzi Town: Gushanzi Township is located in the northernmost part of Chaoyang County. To the north, it borders Sijiazi Town of Aohan Banner in Inner Mongolia; to the east, it neighbors Longtan and Ha’erna Township of Beipiao City; to the west, it connects with Damiao Town; and to the south, it links with Zhaoduba Town in Longcheng District.
