Khalongyuan Tourist Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

Khalongyuan Tourist Area is located in the county seat of Harqin Left Wing Mongolian Autonomous County, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province. It covers an area of 36 square kilometers, receives over 350,000 visitors annually, and generates tourism revenue of 1.55 billion yuan. With the development philosophy of “sharing between tourists and residents, integration of the scenic area and the city,” it serves as the leading attraction and core of Khalong’s tourism industry, and is the most dazzling showcase for enhancing the image and quality of Khalong.

Centered around Longyuan Lake, the area encompasses a variety of attractions including the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Health & Leisure Tourism Center, Tiancheng Taoist Temple, Ethnic and Folk Museum, Lizhou Pagoda, Baiyin’aili Ethnic Village, and Purple Clay Culture Park. It integrates a wealth of tourism resources such as lakes and ecology, city and nature, health and wellness, history and religion, art and culture, leisure and shopping, making it the most concentrated showcase of Khalong’s urban charm.

The tourist area boasts comprehensive supporting facilities, including a standardized visitor service center, clear tourism signage, multiple flush public toilets, postal and telecommunications services, and large public parking lots. The roads within and leading to the scenic area are well-connected, forming an excellent transportation network. Currently, the hardware and software infrastructure of the area is largely in place, service facilities are mostly complete, management systems are becoming increasingly robust, and there is a high-caliber management team and staff.
