Yulong Valley Hot Spring Resort is located at the southern foot of the scenic Prince Mountain in Kazuo County, Liaoning Province, about 7 kilometers from the county town. As a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, it spans 8,500 acres with a total investment of 1.4 billion yuan. It is the first diversified tourism resort in the Chaoyang region of Liaoning Province, combining hot spring wellness, wetland leisure, comprehensive amusement, folk culture, luxury hotels, business meetings, and large indoor hot spring experiences among other amenities.

Here, lush green mountains stand tall, and the majestic ridges rise proudly. The Ling River flows mightily from the south, with willows lining both banks, their dense foliage casting a cool shade. Hidden among the rivers, lakes, landscape trees, wetlands, reed marshes, pavilions, and corridors is an ecological landscape where “forests protect the river, water nourishes the forests, and scenery reflects on the water.” Together with the adjacent Aomulun Wetland Park and Longyuan Lake Scenic Area, they form a “Ten-Kilometer Ling River Scenic Corridor,” where thousands of acres of blue waters and hundreds of acres of flower fields resemble a paradise on earth.

Yulong Valley Hot Spring has a long history. According to historical records, during the Shunzhi era of the Qing Dynasty, the Khan of the Kharachin tribe went hunting here. Thirsty and weary, he encountered this spring along the way. The water was crystal clear, smooth, and warm. A Mongolian doctor accompanying him suggested that this was a hot spring, which remains unfrozen in winter and does not spoil in summer. Drinking it could relieve fatigue, while bathing in it could promote wellness—offering great benefits. After trying it, the Khan felt refreshed and delighted, declaring the water to be divine and the land a blessed place. He then established a temporary palace to pass down through generations. Since then, horses and carriages have come in an endless stream, leading later generations to call this spring the “Royal Hot Spring.”

Yulong Valley Hot Spring originates from a natural artesian hot spring layer 2,011 meters underground, with water gushing out at 66 degrees Celsius. The water is crystal-clear and smooth, containing over 20 trace elements beneficial to the human body. It is a silicic acid-type hot spring rich in “fluorine,” making it a rare treasure among hot springs. In addition to sterilizing, nourishing yin and beautifying the skin, as well as calming the nerves and relieving fatigue, it also has special therapeutic effects on arthritis, high blood pressure, rheumatism, and hemiplegia, fully meeting the modern needs for wellness, health care, and beauty.

What was once the Royal Hot Spring is now a holiday destination. The first phase of the resort project—the Hot Spring Vacation Experience Area—covers approximately 13,000 square meters, skillfully blending Eastern Mongolian cultural elements with modern fashion. The facility has five floors, with comprehensive supporting facilities and complete functions. It offers swimming and saunas, steam baths and soaking pools, physiotherapy and fitness, water entertainment, specialty dining, and wellness leisure—all in one. It forms a hot spring hydrotherapy and wellness system supported by a natural and elegant environment and supplemented by recreational activities. It also features the country’s only underground river rafting and the largest sauna square in Northeast China. Additionally, the area includes deluxe hotel rooms and hot spring villas, all designed with high-end luxury and a warm, elegant touch. The tastefully decorated banquet halls of varying sizes can accommodate up to 3,000 people dining simultaneously. To create the most representative tourist destination in the region, the resort hired a renowned domestic tourism planning institute to carry out specialized design and upgrades. The second-phase projects under construction include: an agricultural sightseeing park, a Dongmeng Cultural Park, a timeshare vacation tourism area, and a mountain landscape area. The agricultural sightseeing park, irrigated with hot spring water, allows visitors to enjoy the pleasures of rural life after experiencing the hot springs. The Dongmeng Cultural Park, built around the hot spring vacation experience area, features Mongolian-themed entertainment such as rock climbing walls, horse racing tracks, and hunting grounds. The unique timeshare vacation tourism area, tailored to the local crop growth cycle in Kazuo, will consist of various farmhouse courtyards, becoming an ideal destination for young people to relax and for the elderly to enjoy wellness and retirement. The mountain landscape area, based on the Aomulun Wetland, focuses on forest flower seas, grass sliding and skiing, and temple complexes. Among them, the hundred-acre flower sea has already opened to the public.
