Baiyin Aili Ethnic and Folk Village is a settlement of ethnic minorities in Harqin Left Wing Mongolian Autonomous County. Among its residents, Mongolians account for 90% of the total population. In 2009, through active efforts by relevant municipal and county departments, Baiyin Aili was awarded the "Ethnic Characteristic Village Protection and Development Project" established by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the Ministry of Finance to protect and explore ethnic culture. Baiyin Aili has a long history, with residential architecture highlighting ethnic characteristics and a rich foundation in ethnic culture. Over 50% of its Mongolian residents can communicate using their native language, and traditional Mongolian customs remain well preserved. More than 70% of the villagers live in "Haiqing single-story houses" that embody both the nomadic cultural style of the Mongolians and features of farming culture, representing a typical Mongolian courtyard in the Harqin region.

In recent years, the village has been designated as a "Mongolian Ecological Language Protection Base" by both the municipal and county-level ethnic affairs departments, and recognized as a "Model Village for Safe Construction" by the Chaoyang Municipal People’s Government. The village boasts a well-established system for passing on its ethnic culture. It serves as a protection base for the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage — "Eastern Mongolian Folk Tales." In 2009, it was named a "Folk Culture and Art Hometown (Base) of Liaoning Province" by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture, and selected as a "Liaoning Provincial Tourism Specialty Village" by the Liaoning Provincial Tourism Bureau.
