The Kazuo Dongmeng Ethnic Folk Art Museum is the first institution in the province dedicated to promoting, displaying, preserving, researching, inheriting, and developing ethnic arts and crafts. It was established with investment from Beitao Industrial. During its founding, it received strong support from departments such as the Publicity Department of Kazuo County Party Committee, the County Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau, the Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, the Tourism Bureau, and the Archives Bureau. Leading officials from the Municipal Ethnic Affairs Commission and the Municipal Culture Bureau visited the museum and provided significant assistance and support.

The museum was officially established in 2015 and consists of three main areas: the Traditional Mongolian Handicraft Protection and Research and Development Center, the Dongmeng Ethnic Culture Research Center, and the Ethnic Art Exhibition Hall. With the mission of protecting, inheriting, innovating, and developing ethnic art, the museum is based on the characteristics and strengths of minority ethnic arts and crafts. Centered around Mongolian folk customs and culture, it integrates excavation, organization, research, education, design, production, exhibition, and sales. Through its distinctive forms of ethnic cultural expression, it showcases the long history and vibrant cultural heritage of the Khalugan Mongolians. Adhering to the founding principles of combining theory with practice, research with education, and inheritance with innovation, the museum is committed to the preservation, protection, and development of traditional Mongolian culture. It actively explores the protection and research of ethnic handicrafts, thereby forming a multi-dimensional research perspective, an open academic space, and an academic atmosphere that encourages “a hundred flowers to bloom and a hundred schools of thought to contend.” By sorting out the unique value system of minority ethnic arts and crafts products, the museum helps protect the distinct historical traces and cultural essence of minority groups. It provides a broader academic exchange platform for researchers, research institutions, and educational institutions specializing in minority ethnic arts and crafts, promoting the prosperity and development of minority handicrafts and modern Chinese arts and crafts. It also contributes to economic and social development, as well as the inheritance of China’s outstanding traditional culture.
