The Yalu River Bridge spans a section of the Yalu River within Zhalantun Park and is a suspension bridge. The bridge is about fifty meters long and ten meters wide. Its structure is very simple, consisting of only two piers and three spans. The pier surfaces are paved with stones to form a sturdy bridge platform, and on each platform, two Greek Doric columns are erected, with thick iron chains attached to their tops, suspending the bridge body. With just a gentle push, the entire bridge sways like a cradle, which is quite amusing. The unique design of the bridge is rich in Western romantic charm.

The Yalu River is a tributary of the Nen River, originating from the eastern slope of the Greater Khingan Mountains. It flows southeast and joins the Nen River within Longjiang County in the province of Heilongjiang, stretching a total length of 366 kilometers. The lower reaches feature numerous oxbow lakes, and when viewed from the mountaintop, they appear as countless shiny giant bows scattered in disarray, creating a natural spectacle that seems still yet full of motion.

The waters of the Yalu River are clear, and the scenery is beautiful, especially in the Zhalantun area, which is particularly delightful. Red buildings peek out among the green willow groves on both banks, creating a picturesque scene.

The Yalu River has gentle currents, and over its more than 300-kilometer course, there are virtually no rapids or fast-flowing sections, making its tranquility its main attraction. When it reaches Zhalantun Park, the river widens, yet the waves remain as smooth as a mirror, giving the impression of a small inland lake. The white Yalu River Bridge spans the azure waves, and its rippling reflection resembles a nimble swimming dragon.

Every summer, many adventurous travelers come to this remote summer retreat, either strolling along the willow-lined banks of the Yalu River, wandering across the elegant suspension bridge, or boating on the blue waters, enjoying the cool breeze, listening to the sounds of water and insects, as if entering a fairyland where all worries vanish.
