The Xiushui Scenic Area in Zhalantun is located 8 kilometers north of downtown Zhalantun in Inner Mongolia — within the Xiushui Scenic Zone by the Woniu River.

Xiushui Mountain Villa features Russian and European-style wooden houses, Mongolian yurts, villas, guesthouses, an artificial lake, and fishponds. The villa area boasts fresh air and breathtaking natural scenery that refreshes the mind and lifts the spirit. After climbing 558 steps to the summit of Woniu Mountain, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Xiushui Scenic Area and downtown Zhalantun. Downtown Zhalantun is surrounded by mountains, with the Yalu River flowing like a colorful ribbon dancing from the hands of a fairy, gently meandering through the lush greenery on both banks, creating picturesque scenery. Several scenic areas have formed here. From Diaqiao Park, take a vehicle 2 kilometers north to reach the Xiushui Scenic Area. The Xiushui Scenic Area features overlapping green mountains, winding blue waters, dense forests, and a lively presence of butterflies and bees. A bay of river water set against the green mountains resembles a shy maiden lowering her gaze, her graceful figure reflected in the calm surface of the water. At dusk, the setting sun casts a glow over the river, as if someone had sprinkled a handful of rouge, creating a dazzling brilliance that tints the water red. People therefore refer to this area of lake and mountain scenery as “Xiushui” (Beautiful Water).
