Genghis Khan Caravanserai
The Genghis Khan Caravanserai scenic area is situated in the southern part of Chengjisihan Town, Zhalantun City, 37 kilometers from the city center. The Nian–Zha–Bo Highway (Nianzishan – Zhalantun – Boketu) passes through the area. Spanning 4 square kilometers, it is located on the northern side of the famous national key cultural relic protection unit—the Jin Dynasty Great Wall (Jin Boundary Trench), and borders Longjiang County of Heilongjiang Province. The scenic area features a regional landmark square, a grassland ecological square, the Genghis Khan Obo (sacred mound), and a cluster of Sulde spears, which are iconic Mongolian structures.
The scenic area is centered around elaborately decorated Mongolian yurts, surrounded by scattered yurt accommodations. It can host banquets for up to 1,000 people and accommodate 150 guests simultaneously, and welcomes various conference groups. It is a Mongol-themed tourist resort integrating ethnic song and dance, cultural activities, traditional cuisine, and outdoor camping. The area is fully equipped with functional facilities, including a horseback riding training base and an ecological farming base. It represents a modern eco-tourism destination that integrates agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and entertainment.
