Xihé Reservoir Tourist Resort is a national A-level tourist reception destination, located at Yangyoufang Reservoir, 3 kilometers south of Xihé Township. The reservoir covers an area of over 2,000 acres, with a maximum water depth of 8 meters, and is capable of accommodating 300 diners and 100 overnight guests at one time. The resort features a beautiful environment and complete amenities, offering rubber boats and speedboats for visitors to enjoy, as well as fishing opportunities for carp, crucian carp, Wuchang bream, and grass carp.

Baotou is located deep inland, in the southern part of the Mongolian Plateau, and has a semi-arid, mid-temperate continental monsoon climate. The annual average temperature is 6.4°C. Winters are cold with ice and snow, springs are often windy and sandy, summers are cool and pleasant, and autumns are fragrant with fruits.
