Laoshan Urban Leisure Park
Laoshan Urban Leisure Park, also known as Laoshan Country Park, is located west of the intersection of Laoshan South Road and Shangzhuang Street in Shijingshan District, Beijing. Its most distinctive feature is the mountain biking competition track left over from the 2008 Olympics. The park is mainly for leisure and is open to the public for free. Citizens can ride bicycles here, and the track features many ups and downs, making it quite challenging. It’s worth noting that the Laoshan Driving School is located nearby, and many people come here to practice driving (cars); there is also a motorcycle training ground, so visitors should be very careful when walking or cycling.
The park is large and built along the mountain terrain, attracting local residents who stroll here as a form of hiking and exercise. The grounds are lush with greenery, and in spring, peach blossoms, forsythia, and pear blossoms bloom, creating beautiful scenery.
Special Tips
There are driving schools and a motorcycle training ground nearby, and many of the drivers are beginners, so be very cautious when walking or cycling in the park and watch out for them.
