Beijing Taiwan Culture Street
Beijing Taiwan Street is located southwest of the Sculpture Park in Beijing's Shijingshan District. The street name was inscribed by the Honorary Chairman. The street is L-shaped, stretching 500 meters in total length with a total construction area of over 40,000 square meters. It features high-end Taiwanese dining, music-themed restaurants, a food court offering local delicacies, and fashion boutiques. Among them, the Wufui Building of the Wufeng Lin Family from Wufeng, Teresa Teng Music Theme Restaurant, and Taiwan Culture Street have all garnered significant public attention.
Taiwan Culture Street is situated in Datong, Chongwen District, bordering Tiananmen to the north, Qianmen Street to the west, and Qianmen East Road to the east. It serves as a window for mainland tourists to explore the diversity of Taiwan, and as the first cultural and commercial stop for all mainland visitors to experience Taiwan before traveling there.
Scattered among this ensemble of classic Beijing-style architecture are six main zones: Charming Old Taiwan Street, MIT Lifestyle Aesthetics Gallery, MIT Fashion & Leisure Gallery, Taiwan Treasure Hunt Gallery, Leisure Food & Dining Area, and Tourism Exhibition & Sales Center. These areas showcase themes such as Taiwan-themed tourism, commercial shopping, cultural interaction, and educational exchange. Leveraging advantages such as original Taiwanese goods, high-quality MIT service standards, and a well-developed interactive shopping environment, the street combines resources from both sides of the Strait to build an economic platform for cross-strait business development. It is crafted into the most authentic and picturesque Taiwanese-themed commercial district.
Strolling here, you can explore the authentic flavors of Taiwan in century-old shops, experience the technological elegance of Taiwan in international brand stores, and discover creative living at the Taiwan Treasure Hunt Gallery. The Taiwan Story House also offers an interactive cultural space, allowing you to experience another facet of urban lifestyle and cultural trends.
The Charming Old Taiwan Street, designed with an underground space that recreates an outdoor dusk canopy, offers a truly immersive experience that makes you feel as though you've "traveled through time and space." The aroma of Taiwanese street food, the refined offerings of gourmet supermarkets, and the novelty of Mosquito Cinema all unfold within the 1960s-era Taiwanese architectural setting of red bricks, archways, and covered walkways—offering a panoramic presentation of the local customs, specialties, and folk crafts from all 319 townships across Taiwan.
Here, you can also experience unique services such as new creations from emerging Taiwanese designers, biotech skincare, natural organic products, fragrant essential oils, DaySPA treatments, lifestyle accessories, and custom jewelry. There are also personal styling and image consultation courses available.
